The Lodge of Instruction exists to give our younger Brethren the perfect chance to get to grips with the ins and outs of Masonic ritual and symbolism. It’s all about learning the ropes (without any pressure) in a relaxed, supportive atmosphere. At the helm is the Preceptor—our wise guide and seasoned expert—who keeps things running smoothly while sharing a few nuggets of wisdom along the way.
When it comes to rehearsing ceremonies, our regular officers step into their usual roles—or those they’re angling for next year. But it’s not an exclusive club! Any Brother can throw their hat in the ring, taking on different offices and getting some hands-on experience. It's a great way to explore parts of the ceremony that might feel a bit like uncharted territory. And, if you’re looking to polish up any extra rituals or signs, there’s always room for that too (as long as we’re not still there at midnight!).
Now, let’s not kid ourselves—while we’re aiming to be sharp and spot-on for the big meetings, the Lodge of Instruction is far from a solemn affair. There’s plenty of fun, a bit of cheeky banter, and enough laughs to keep the atmosphere lively. After all, we’re here to enjoy ourselves as much as we are to learn!
